PQube announced that Song of Memories is set to arrive soon on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation. The visual novel originally was announced for PC and is set to come out on Steam as a complete edition.
Unfortunately, the Steam version does not support English at the moment, as noted on the Steam page. Thankfully it’s coming soon.
The game sort of takes a Muv-Luv approach to its story, where the first half centers around the main protagonist being surrounded by a harem of gorgeous chicks who happen to be his classmates. He’ll get to go on dates, poke some boobs, and enjoy the curvaceous company of the callipygian cuties.
Things don’t stay all happy-go-lucky for long, though. The Muv-Luv Alternative element comes into play with the second half of the game, where a virus begins to rapidly wipe out humanity across the globe.
But wait… there’s more!
Just like Omega Quintent, the heroines also double as J-Pop stars, and you’ll get to play through 36 different songs featured in the game, played out as mini-games. The songs turn Song of Memories into a rhythm-action game of sorts, as the heroines will use the power of music as a form of battle.
To help further bring the story to life, Song of Memories also sports live 2D features with full voice acting, so the developers at Future Tech Lab went out of their way to make the visual novel unfold as close to watching an anime as possible. The game will feature a handful of different endings, 40 hours worth of spoken dialogue and branching stories.
They don’t list an exact release date for Song of Memories, but gamers interested in a romance visual novel with an apocalyptic undertone, you can look for the game to launch soon for the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and later on for PC via Steam.
