The Silence Trailer Has Stanley Tucci Keeping Quiet And Fighting Bird Monsters

Apparently Netflix is going to go for the full Monty of sense-based horror flicks with library of original titles. First they had their woke success that was Bird Box, which was themed around sight-based horrors, and now they have a film based around sound. The new film stars Stanley Tucci as a family man trying to survive during an apocalyptic event. But it’s not meteors or natural disasters that has wrought the end of mankind, this time it involves some flesh-eating bird creatures that hunt their prey based on their auricular senses.

The trailer for the film starts in the middle of the event. A supposed family inside of their vehicle have just survived an attack from the flying creatures, and Stanley Tucci exits the vehicle to survey the area, only for an older woman inside to start coughing, which attracts the flying monsters. Thins just get worse for the group from there.

You can check out the trailer below.

So it’s tough to tell what parts of the film belong where based on the trailer. While we see Stanley Tucci with the other young girl, it gives the impression that they’re father and daughter. As for the other two women in the vehicle with them… it’s not made readily clear what their relation are to Tucci and the young girl and whether they picked them up during their travels or if they all started together.

In a way, this is kind of good because the way the trailer is constructed I have no idea what’s the start and where the finish might be. So it leave you with a bit of intrigue as to how the film might play out.

We do know, however, that there is some other nefarious group roaming about. I don’t know what their deal is but what’s a post-apoc flick without some roving gang of psychopaths?

The Silence (2019) - Shhh

I honestly don’t even know how you can have villains in a movie about carnivorous bird monsters that destroy anything that makes noise. Shouldn’t most people just want to stay quiet and stay alive?!

Maybe there’s some proper explanation to the villains’ exploits in the flick, which hopefully extends beyond wanting to just cut everyone’s tongues out.

Anyway, you can look for The Silence to arrive on Netflix starting April 11th, but you all know that if you support Netflix you’re also supporting the SJW agenda. So keep that in mind.
