Facebook is reportedly working on a new digital cryptocurrency known as “Libra”. The currency is set to go live in 2020 and is already partnering with some big names, such as PayPal and MasterCard, two of the major payment processors who have been censoring people for wrongthink.
According to Engadget, Libra will be partnered with the aforementioned MasterCard and PayPal, along with Visa, eBay, Spotify, Uber, Lyft, Vodafone Group, Coinbase, Stripe, Spotify, and of course Facebook. You can see all of the partners over on the Libra official website.
The global cryptocurrency has already raised red flags with a bunch of people, as pointed out by Tim Pool, who made very salient points about
Pool brings out recent bans such as Milo Yiannopoulos, Lara Loomer, and Paul Joseph Watson from Facebook and Instagram as prime indicators as to why this new cryptocurrency from Facebook is a bad idea.
He notes that banning someone from one platform that results in them being restricted access to their money is a technocratic nightmare for the average layman. Basically you’re not only putting your privacy in the hands of Facebook but your finances, too.
What’s scarier is that PayPal and MasterCard are being championed as two of the biggest backers of the global Libra project, even though in the past they’ve been quick to shut down people’s finances for ideological reasons, including death metal records and political activists.
MasterCard is also known to be a far-Left organization, as evident with their latest press release, where they indicated that they are advocates for “diversity”.
They stated…
“At MasterCard, we want to express our concern for the recent legislation that has potential impact on the LGBT community.
“We are firmly committed to eliminating discrimination of the LGBT community – through, among other initiatives, our robust diversity program that fosters a sense of inclusion for all employees, providing benefits to same-sex couples, and supporting and participating in PRIDE events in the communities in which we live and work.
“For us, diversity is the foundation of who we are and what we do. It drives our collaboration, our talent development and our innovation. We are committed to supporting LGBT equality, and we oppose any laws or actions that encourage or enable discrimination of any kind.”
This is ironic given that MasterCard has been discriminating against various ideological groups who have opinions or express news they disagree with, such as when they deplatformed Jihad Watch, as reported by Breitbart.
Pushing a Left-leaning agenda while also backing a currency controlled by a censor-happy big tech social media platform should make people see this as being as scary as it sounds. Because if this does catch on and becomes a standard currency adopted by global communities, you can kiss all your freedoms goodbye… forever.
