Some part of me thinks that there’s some rogue executive at Netflix who maybe seems to understand that the whole “woke” thing isn’t working, and subtly decides to red-pill people with media that goes against the [current year] grain. For example, Netflix’s upcoming series called V Wars received a new trailer and it does a few things opposite of what most Social Justice types would have expected.
The show stars Ian Somerhalder from CW’s The Vampire Diaries as a doctor who’s brought in by the U.S., government to help find a cure for an ancient vampire disease that turns people into bloodsuckers. The disease becomes an epidemic and people are dropping dead everywhere or getting infected and turning into vampires.
Sounds like a cool premise, right? Well, things get a lot more interesting when the vampires decide that the vampirism isn’t a disease and that it’s just a way of life. They begin an insurrection that leads to an all out war, hence the title V Wars.
You can check out the trailer below.
Now, did you notice something? Anything at all?
If you didn’t, let me spell it out for you: The main villain of the show, a vampire, is black. The main hero of the show, a human, is white.
It doesn’t take much to figure out that with V Wars you could very well replace “Vampire” with “Race” and you would quickly get the gist of the show. They mostly show a lot of white women being turned into vampires, thus making it look like the lead black vampire is taking the women for his own. That’s almost right on the nose to the kind of media propaganda we’ve been seeing from… well, everywhere.
The main concern with a show like this is whether or not they’ll turn the main hero into a cuckold or make him join the vampires? That would be a really disappointing turn of events. The show is loosely based on Jonathan Maberry and Alan Robinson’s comics, so we’ll see how close they keep to the source material.
I’m still kind of shocked that they allowed a black guy to be the main villain of a show in [current year]. I also wonder if that will cause the typical outrage fodder on that cesspit known as Twitter to “rheee” about it until it trends?
I guess we’ll find out what the woke warriors think of the show when it airs on December 5th.
