Nintendo and Game Freak managed to capture quite the attention (for better and for worse) with the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield. The game has its fair share of troubles, as well as highlights. One of those highlights has been Nessa, a very popular new character added to the franchise, but some people saw some imperfections with the character and decided to improve her where the designers may have had a misstep in her design.
For people who wanted to experience Nessa as a pearly white character… now you can.
There’s a new Nessa Vitiligo mod, as well as a Nessa Gyaru mod.
You can check out a video of the mod in action courtesy of ChibiButo.
You can download the Nessa Vitiligo mod from Google Drive or the Nessa Gyaru mod from Google Drive.
The mod only works on modded Nintendo Switch units and you’ll have to paste the contents of the zip into the appropriate folder to get it work. White Nessa also only appears outside of battle.
The mod is already causing the typical sperglings to announce violence and discord as their only resolve to seeing Nessa turned into a pretty white girl, much in the same way that they did when Japanese artists depicted her with fair skin.
The detractors are accruing thousands of likes and retweets taking a dump on the white Nessa mod.

SwSh Modders: “We’re adding in all the cut Pokémon!”
Me: “Aight cool.”
SwSh Modders: “We’re making the trees and dirt look worse somehow!”
Me: “Why would you? Okay?”
SwSh Modders: “Nessa is now white!”
Me: “FUCKING STOP!”

yall have really got to stop posting that white nessa mod unprompted and untagged on people’s timeline. we’ve been over this with the whitewashing before with how damaging and tiring it can be to see that over and over again as a black person

Where were all these people and their outrage when Triss Merigold, a redhead, was race-swapped in Netflix’s The Witcher?
Where was the outrage when Catwoman and Jim Gordon were turned black in Matt Reeves’ The Batman?
Where was the outrage when Poison Ivy was turned into a black lesbian in the Harley Quinn comic?
Where was the outrage when Captain Keyes was blackwashed for the upcoming Showtime Halo series?
Where was the outrage when Ariel had her Danish heritage erased to become a black American in the Little Mermaid reboot?
Exactly.
Thankfully there are some people with a semblance of sanity still orbiting the gray matter in their skull cap.
Gamers who appreciate the hard work that modders do were also online to shower the modder with praise and to tell them how great the mod was, as well as to offer some much-needed levity to the situation after the cultural terrorists injected all sorts of negativity into the atmosphere.
White Nessa is so damn cute! I absolutely love the new mod. Thank you. https://t.co/F1vAdN1bx6 pic.twitter.com/Db3RWb3qqO

I think it’s amazing how people rage their brains when they see the white Nessa mod, calling it racist and things like that. Not realizing that this mod was made specifically as a bait for people like them 🍵
I totally support the one who made this mod and I love it pic.twitter.com/SVxMzbNCv8— ☕SILVER☕ (@SilverSatou) November 21, 2019

In any case, the mod is causing all sorts of conniptions within the community of Cultural Communists.
Pokemon Sword and Shield is available right now for the Nintendo Switch, warts and all. If you have a modded Switch you can get your hands on the white Nessa mod right now!
