Outfit Shadowwolf had previously announced that they would be providing gamers with an uncensored, unofficial R18+ patch for Sekai Project’s all-ages release of Baldr Sky on Steam.
There’s a pastebin currently available containing links to the uncensored patches.
You can get your hands on the R18+ patch, which clocks in at 100MB, from over on Mega.nz.
Additionally, there’s a patch to restore the background movies that play on the game’s title screen, which originally contained some nudity. Since those are full-on movies, you can download the uncensored movies from over on Mega.nz.
Take note that the uncensored movies will run you 1.8GB of hard drive space.
Keep in mind that there are a few caveats to consider.
The uncensored endings movies are optional. You don’t have to install them if you don’t want to.
Also, they explain that if you apply the patch AFTER you reach Rain Chapter 7 you run the risk of encountering glitches and game crashes.
As detailed in the pastebin, all the sex scenes are back in, all the nudity has been restored, the CGs restored, the cinematics restored, and the CG gallery now contains all the proper R18+ content. Additionally, the Secret Files bonus h-scenes have also been restored.
To install the patches, simply open up the Steam folder for Baldr Sky and extract the contents in the game folder. That’s it.
The unofficial patch will bring the game back up to par to what it’s supposed to be, what it was when it originally released in Japan a decade ago back in 2009.
The patches work with Sekai Project’s release of Baldr Sky over on the Steam store.
According to Sekai Project, they are unable to release the R18+ version of the game in an official capacity, but some gamers aren’t entirely trusting as to why that is. In any case, if you would rather wait for an official R18+ English version, possibly licensed from another publisher, you can do that, or you can grab the original Japanese version from the DMM storefront.
