If you haven’t been following Gab then you’ve missed the pro censorship platform’s decent into Puritanism. What started as a crusade against loli content because of the sensibilities of the sites owner has morphed into an outright anti pornography crusade.
There is a reason commentators such as Raging Golden Eagle call Puritanical Christians SJW Classic, SJW Lite, or Diet SJW (over here we call them CJWs). Less degeneracy, same censorious behavior you hate. As with their leftist counterparts they are massively hypocritical and merely use their ideology to push their own agenda typically rooted in projection. When questioned on their religion they openly admit to cherry picking verses they wish to follow and how to follow them.
1. 1 Timothy 2:12 ✅
2. Multicolored fabric= ceremonial law for ancient Israel which does not apply to Christians today.
3. “casting stones”= textual variant that was not included in the original Gospel of John and many believe should not be included today. pic.twitter.com/3r0JpTb4p3

Now they’ve set their sights on promoting an anti cannabis campaign, because we all know God did it wrong, Pharmaceutical Companies did it right.
In the article which is rather short they attempt to frame quotes from an interview that also interjected anti-cannabis sentiment where Nelson said none as if the cannabis was the direct cause.
It is important to note that the site being pushed by Gab as legitimate news is owned by Nyp Holdings. Nyp Holdings Incorporated is the same company that runs the New York Post, the Wall Street Journal, The Sun, and The Times. Gab promoting fake news from a far leftist outlet should raise a lot of eyebrows if their anti-porn crusade hasn’t already. While it doesn’t represent a direct connection between the two it brings Gab’s self proclaimed mission statement into question.
What is curiously absent from the reporting is the quote that goes between the two used where Nelson explained how he damaged his lungs, where he told KSAT…
“I started smoking cedar bark, went from that to cigarettes to whatever. And that almost killed me.”
In fact Nelson doesn’t blame the weed at all; he blames his cigarette smoking habit. Relenting that as a result of his condition he has to give up smoking weed. For when you have diminished lung capacity your lungs aren’t capable of taking in as much oxygen. Displacing the oxygen in your lungs with anything in this condition is dangerous to your health.
As of right now scientists are still debating whether cannabis even damages the lungs. It is known that it produces some amounts of tar, but what comes into question is whether cannabis removes the tar as you’re smoking. As one study showed cannabis smokers actually possessed increased lung capacity over even non-smokers. Though it is important to note the exact cause is suspected, but has yet to be determined. Requiring further studies to ultimately determine the exact impact cannabis has on the lungs.
Nelson himself has no negative words to say about cannabis. As the Inquisitir notes, Nelson credits cannabis for having saved his life by allowing him to mellow out and get away from his drinking habit that was destroying his life at the time. Nelson is also happy the nation is finally legalizing cannabis and recognizing its medical benefits that even the government has reluctantly had to concede exist.
Given he now owns his own cannabis company: Willie’s Reserve, he obviously has no interest in abandoning the plant any time soon. Nor will he stop championing it.
Why Gab promoting fake news from a far leftist rag is attempting to portray the story as different is unknown, but their increasingly puritanical behavior is becoming more prevalent as time passes.
