Cancel Culture is what’s typically used mostly by crazy people on Twitter of the Left-leaning kind to make jobless, homeless, or unemployable their enemies and any target that falls under the crosshairs of their completely unjustified harassment campaigns. Nevertheless, the Cancel Culture Cultists have managed to weaponize this digital-age rendition of witch hunting to get plenty of people fired, cost people advertising, or get people booted out of jobs for sometimes completely innocuous and ridiculous things. Well, one YouTuber decided to outright address it (though not in the best way possible) to condemn the cultists of Cancel Culture and the sometimes irreparable damage they do to people for very petty reasons.
The video was uploaded on Repzion YouTube channel where he spent nearly 12 minutes talking about the effects Cancel Culture has had on people, and how it’s been used in recent times to deplatform people and cost them living wages.
Now straight off the bat I don’t agree that he used the best examples in the video, such as director James Gunn or provocateur Shane Dawson, but there have been other more pertinent cases where people were simply deplatformed for not having the right opinion. For instance, Sargon of Akkad was deplatformed by Patreon and later had his monetization halted on YouTube for simply holding views that opposed the Regressive Left.
Others like Milo Yiannopoulos were deplatformed from social media for not kowtowing to the fragile sensibilities of ugly celebrities, as reported by Raw Story.
There was also the case of Naomi Wu being targeted and demonetized due to Vice and their clique for trying to expose them for their corruption after they broke a deal they had made when they published an article about her.
There are numerous other cases of Cancel Culture targeting people for some of the most inane reasons, usually spurred on by some far-Left Regressive shut-in who has no idea what the real world is like. Heck, even those Sleeping Giant folks tried canceling One Angry Gamer, but they failed at that and the only thing they managed to do was cost an ad broker their job at one of the vendors because it resulted in the vendor losing about a month and a half of two-thirds of ad inventory.
In any case, more big names need to speak out against the whole Cancel Culture movement that many ideologues are using to cut down people with opinions they don’t like, because there’s nothing good coming out of it for anybody.
