PC Specialist Ad Banned In U.K. For Not Featuring Women

The war on straight men continues as the pants-on-head asininity that is currently running rampant in the U.K., has reached new levels of lunacy. The Advertising Standards Authority actually had an ad pulled by the enthusiast outfit PC Specialist because they claimed their ad perpetuated gender stereotypes because the commercial only featured men of different races instead of women.

Eurogamer is reporting that PC Specialist fired back at the ASA, the latter of whom received complaints from the eight frail-hearted snowflakes who complained about the ad.

Eurogamer paraphrased the response from PC Specialist, who explained that majority of their target demographic are males and that the advertising reflected their target demographic…

“PC Specialist responded to the watchdog to say its customer base was 87.5 per cent male, aged between 15 and 35 years, and ‘their product, branding and service had been developed for and aimed at that target audience and the characters in the ad therefore represented a cross-section of the PC Specialist core customer base’.”

In Clown World facts don’t matter, only feelings.

You can view the ad below to get an idea of what the ASA got triggered over.

Even though the ASA acknowledged that women aren’t buying products from PC Specialist, it didn’t matter because it’s all about the propaganda of “gender equality”. They explained their reasoning for still banning the ad, writing…

“PC Specialist said the characters looked into the camera as though they were using a PC Specialist machine. They did not believe they represented negative stereotypes and were playing the roles of entrepreneurs, forward-thinkers and hard workers.

“They considered there was no comparison between men and women in the ad and the ad did not imply that women were not interested in computers. They said the ad did not juxtapose men using computers with women not using computers, nor did the ad explicitly state that women did not use computers or that the service was unsuitable for them.”

Over on the ASA website, they upheld the ruling to ban the ad because they said that it could help encourage “gender stereotypes”.

Even though the ad was completely benign, and even went over and beyond and included “diversity”, it still wasn’t diverse enough for the ASA, who explained…

“[…] the ad repeatedly cut to images of only men, who were both prominent and central to the ad’s message of opportunity and excellence across multiple desirable career paths. We therefore considered that the ad implied that excellence in those roles and fields would be seen as the preserve of men. Because of that, we considered that the ad went further than just featuring a cross-section of the advertiser’s core customer base and implied that only men could excel in those roles.

“Although the guidance did not prohibit ads from featuring only one gender, we considered that because the ad strongly implied only men could excel in the specialisms and roles depicted we concluded the ad presented gender stereotypes in way that was likely to cause harm and therefore breached the Code.”

The ASA moved to ban the ad because they said it violated their standards regarding stereotypes.

This kind of Clown World absurdity is what’s ruining the Western culture.

PC Specialist did right by their real demographic.

Throwing in a black lesbian isn’t going to increase the amount of black lesbians who buy from PC Specialist. Wasting money and time on trying to advertise to people who aren’t going to buy from you anyway.

If I didn’t know any better, the ASA and the people who complained about the PC Specialist ad would prefer if the company did lose money and market valuation catering toward a phantom audience.

Peak Clown World.
