Top Hat Studios and Epic Works released a new romantic visual novel comedy on Steam called Rainbow Dreams. The game is also available on Itch.io for $9.99. The comedy tosses in some slice of life elements with a good dash of romance, and managed to somehow escape the censors’ grasp at Valve.
In the press release Top Hat was proud to announce that Rainbow Dreams launched with the R18+ patch on Itch.io while it’s censored on Steam. As some of you know there’s been a trend at Valve where even games that are rated all-ages within the visual novel community such as Food Girls and My Girlfriend have either been subjected to coerced censorship or outright bans.
Rainbow Dreams managed to make it onto the platform without getting nabbed by the taste police, but it did have to launch censored on Valve’s storefront. However, they do have an uncensored patched available for download, for free, over on the Itch.io store page.
Simply download the 27MB patch and follow the instructions within the zip file to install it.
The game itself centers on an anti-social college student named Luka Sanguis, who has a fateful encounter with the goddess of Gaea one fateful day after she abandons her post to live among humans. But not only does Luka encounter the goddess Myra Orbis, she claims to be his wife!
He’s then thrust into a double-life of having to hunt daemons at night and struggle with the every day trifles of life.
The visual novel boasts having more than eight hours of story content, dynamic animations, and a variety of choices that will alter the outcome of events.

Hopefully the Hat Rack storefront opens soon to give gamers even more choices when it comes to purchasing adult content, especially after Valve reneged on their word and started censoring and banning adult games left and right.
