Aquaplus’ Utawarerumono series was recently re-released on Steam thanks to DMM Games. For gamers who picked up the popular Japanese tactical strategy game, there are some cheats available for Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception.
The first cheat trainer is available for download from over on MegaDev.info.
- Refill Zeal
- Selected unit: ATK +5
- Selected unit: DEF +5
- Selected unit: SPD +5
- Heal selected unit
- Selected unit: +1 Level
- Selected unit: +100 XP
- Selected unit: Jump +1
- Selected unit: Move +1
- Selected unit: MegaHealth
- Selected unit: Low HP
The good part is that the refill zeal and the ability to boost your selected party member’s attack rate by 5 are free to use cheats.
The bad part is that all the other useful cheats from the trainer will require a premium membership with MegaDev. So that’s something to consider.
There’s a second option available for cheats via a cheat table for the Cheat Engine that you can download from Fearless Revolution, courtesy of RyseFox.
- Unlimited Health
- Unlimited Zeal
- One Hit Kill
- Enemies Zeal
Now this is a nice cache of cheats because first of all they give you everything you need to ace your way through each of the battles, and second of all the cheat table is available to download for free!
There is, however, the caveat that cheat tables are oftentimes made more obsolete than trainers because they usually break after each major update. So that is something you’ll need to consider if you decide to grab it, but the latest cheat table is available on Fearless Revolution so feel free to make use of it while you can.
As for Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, the release of the niche Vita game on PC did not arrive without controversy.
Shortly before releasing on Steam it was discovered that a CG scene was censored, as discussed over on the Steam forums.
DMM Games offered up an excuse that was both pithy and pathetic, for which many gamers called them out for doing a copy and paste job that consisted of using the censored version of the game. Worse yet is that DMM Games refused to restore the original CG sequence.
Heck, I think a lot of people may have even been inclined to give them some leeway if they pushed the issue off on the platform holder (which would be Valve in this case), but instead they said they would honor the original censored localization for Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, which is straight bollocks.
Anyway, the game is currently available in all its censored glory over on the Steam store for PC.
