After the whole debacle last year, it looks like Deep Silver and 4A Games will bring Metro: Exodus over to Steam… again. First promoted on Gaben’s client and then switched to the Epic Games Store at the last minute for a one year timed exclusivity deal, many people lamented over Metro: Exodus release plan. Well, a year is nearly up, and the first-person shooter is set to hit Steam on February 15th, 2020.
Last year, Metro: Exodus fans had to deal with a Denuvo censorship situation, price hikes outside the U.S., and then the whole Epic Games Store timed exclusivity. This would delay the game for those looking to play Metro: Exodus on Steam from February 14th, 2019, to February 15th, 2020.
During that time the company’s 2019 “extended financial year report” covering January 1st, 2018, to March 31st, 2019, revealed that Metro: Exodus has performed well on PS4 and Xbox One. However, the game’s PC performance remains a mystery even though it supposedly sold “2.5X times better on the Epic Store than Metro: Last Light on Steam,” according to founder and CEO of THQ Nordic Lars Wingefors.
With all of that said, the game’s official Twitter account logged on today to inform gamers that Steam users will see the return of said title starting next week at 00:00 ET | 5:00 GMT / UTC | 6:00 CET | 6:00 AEDT:
