Spike Chunsoft gained no fans when they censored Crystar last year. They regained some semblance of respect when fans begged them not to censor the Steam version of the game and they listened by restoring the original intro sequence for PC gamers. However, PS4 gamers still had to suffer the censorship of Crystar’s opening in light of Sony’s PS4 censorship policies. Well, now some sexy new bikini DLC has dropped for both PC and PS4 gamers, and it’s available for free right now.
The announcement for the free DLC was made on February 25th, 2020 via the official Spike Chunsoft Twitter account. It included some details on the DLC, that not only is the bikini swimsuits free but that Crystar is being discounted by 50% off the normal price on the PlayStation Store.
Each swimsuit costume comes with a bonus effect: while someone in your party wears this swimsuit DLC, Revenants with uncollected memories will be drawn to you, allowing you to finish collecting the Memoirs of the Dead!

Also, as mentioned in the tweet, the swimsuits come with special in-game bonuses, giving you additional incentives to equip them to your party members.
The link in the tweet leads to the Crystar DLC page, where you can see that the four swimsuit costumes are available for Sen, Kokoro, Nanana, and Rei.
I’m actually kind of surprised that Sony even allowed them to release the DLC for PlayStation 4 users given how strict they’ve become with their censorship policies on Japanese-made games.
