WhiteCute and AlphaNuts announced that a follow-up to their game Naked Story is set to arrive on the Steam store of all places starting February 28th. The sexy-time puzzle title will allow players to basically play through Minesweeper while uncovering all the naughty bits of the embarrassed lead female, Ruri.
The concept of the game is based on Ruri attempting to participate in the sports festival. Only things go a little awry for the heroine given that she donates all of her clothes to charity, which means that she has to participate in all of the activities in the nude.
It’s like one of those typical Japanese fetish videos only it’s all 2D instead of 3D.
The core gameplay concept is really simple. You basically play Minesweeper, and as you uncover the board you also uncover an image in the background.
As you play through each picture scenario you continue to unlock more of the CG images until you have the full collection of Ruri in all her naked glory. Many of the images are arranged from the original Naked Story, but with a few added CGs.
Cute Puzzle SP being on Steam is quite the feat for WhiteCute and AlphaNuts.
While the game may not be much in the way of gameplay, having an Adults Only title on Steam is a rare feat for some indie developers these days, especially if they’re Asian.
Many games get banned these days before they even get store pages, especially those of the visual novel variety. So this game being approved for release on Steam really caught me by surprise.
Then again, there’s always the possibility of some prude at Valve catching wind of the game and giving it the axe just before release. Whether or not that happens is up in the air, but you can look for Cute Puzzle SP to go live on February 28th over on the Steam store.
