North Bristol Trust Campaign Can Eject Patients Who Are “Sexist”, “Racist”

Back in early November of 2019 there was a story circulating on the BBC about the North Bristol Trust’s “Red Card To Racism” campaign, where they would designate colored cards to patients who engaged in “racism” and “sexism”. If the patient continued to exhibit “racist” or “sexist” behavior, then they would give them a red card and eject them from the premises.

The article was originally published back in November on the BBC. Dr. Talal Valliani, a consultant gastroenterologist, told the outlet that he was subjected to “racist abuse” while at the Southmead Hospital, and so after treating the patient, the patient was given a red card and told to leave…

“The police then informed the offender of the policy, and the patient was given the red card,”

“We of course made sure he was clinically safe, patient safety is paramount, and once I established that, he was removed from the ward.”

The bizarre and inhumane measure employed by the North Bristol Trust was picked up by Sargon of Akkad, who published a video recently on Bitchute covering the issue on his Akkad Daily channel.

The article explains that if patients in the hospital’s care exhibit “racist” or “sexist” tendencies – though the scale of what’s considered “racist” and “sexist” are never quantified nor expounded upon – then they will be put through the penalty system and if they receive a red card they will be ejected after receiving care…

“Under the scheme, any patient abusing staff would be challenged and warned, leading to a “sports-style disciplinary yellow card” followed by a final red card in which treatment would be “withdrawn as soon as is safe”.

Most worry that this campaign will be extended to include comments people make outside of the hospital, such as what they say on social media or on video sharing services, which could end up resulting in them being denied care at the hospital.

The BBC article doesn’t address this scenario and it’s likely because there is no humane answer for denying people aid because a hospital worker was offended over simple and meaningless words.
