Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition Now Available On Steam

As part of the Halo: Master Chief Collection, the remastered and remade Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition is currently available right now on the Steam store for $9.99.

The news spread about over on the Xbox News Wire, informing gamers that you can pick up a digital copy of the game for Steam on PC either from the Microsoft Store or from the Steam store.

The PC version of the Combat Evolved Anniversary edition retains a lot of the core functions and features from the console version, but with the added bonus of being able to run at higher resolutions and smoother frame-rates, with support for 4K and 60fps, as well as keyboard and mouse support, and graphical options that even include FOV modifiers.

The port to PC was handled in part by Saber Interactive and 343 Industries.

The game features the original 10 campaign missions along with 19 multiplayer maps. Multiplayer comes equipped with online PvP along with LAN support (now that’s something we don’t see often). Both the campaign mode and the PvP modes can be played online or via LAN.

Sadly the split-screen mode from the console version of the game is not present. Then again the split-screen mode wasn’t present in the OG release of Halo: Combat Evolved on PC, nor Halo 2 for Windows Vista.

Keep in mind, though, that 343 Industries is converged.

They began censoring and banning users for criticizing them for using Halo: Reach as a propaganda vehicle for race-related identity politics.

So keep that in mind if you decide to pick up Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition or the Halo: The Master Chief Collection bundle.

As mentioned at the top of the article, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition is available individually for $9.99 on Steam or the Microsoft Store, or you can get it in the bundle pack with the other games for $39.99.
