Nintendo Of America Employee Tests Positive For Coronavirus

It seems like there’s definitely some kind of karmic wind blowing through the culturally converged society of Big Tech, Hollywood and electronic entertainment. Coming off the news that Nintendo of America’s localization department removed gendered identifiers and teamed up with reviled actress Brie Larson, it’s being reported that one of the staff working out of the Seattle, Washington offices at Nintendo of America has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Nintendo Life picked up the news from the Seattle Times, who reported that Nintendo has confirmed that one of the staff from the office tested positive for COVID-19.

Nintendo of America issued a statement about the incident, saying…

“Nintendo of America is supporting this individual as they recover and will continue to take precautions to safeguard the health and well-being of all our employees and the broader community”

Nintendo Life goes on to state that Nintendo has allowed those in California and Washington to work remotely from home.

It’s hard to feel empathy when you realize that it’s the Nintendo of America branch that’s going out of its way to ruin lives with completely unnecessary propaganda and agenda-driven design choices to undermine the cultural standards of the West.

For instance, removing the “Male” and “Female” or “Boy” and “Girl” options from the character creator in the English version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. All the other languages keep the gendered designators in place, basically making it known that the localizers from NOA went out of their way to purposefully remove the text.

The purpose of which is to convince people that there is no such thing as binary genders and that gender designations are “social constructs”, which his peak insanity from postmodernists.

What’s more is that Nintendo also hired Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson to promote Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Why? Because she claims that she used to play GameCube games back when she was but a wee teen.

If Nintendo of America was smart they would stop with butchering localizations, they would steer clear from associating themselves with caustic celebrities, and they would get back to being a company focused on making fun games that are entertaining for everyone. Unfortunately that seems like a foreign concept in today’s society, and it seems like some companies have been learning this the hard way due to the coronavirus.
