While Pornhub may dabble in a lot of unhealthy forms of subversion, they are one of the few major meeting points of mass product consumption and technological advancements in payment processing. Recently it was announced that all of Pornhub’s major services are now accepting cryptocurrency processing thanks to PumaPay.
The outfit announced that they have teamed up with Pornhub to allow users to make use of their payment processing that’s hosted through the blockchain.
Payments are processed within minutes, and transactions are practically free through PullPayment with the exception of the Ethereum blockchain taking a small fee since they’re the ones powering the PumaPay blockchain protocol.
Yoav Dror, CEO of the Cyprus based outfit, mentioned in the press release…
“This latest integration with Pornhub Premium entrenches PumaPay’s protocol as a prime solution for recurring cryptopayments. Our technology also happens to be completely hassle-free, offering subscription-based billing models based on our innovative PullPayment mechanism.”
PumaPay joins Horizen, Tron, and Verge as some of the other cryptocurrency options made available on Pornhub for subscription services. They’re also working with the porn giant to integrate into other Pornhub services, including Pornhub Premium, and their subsidiaries YouPorn and RedTube.
While Pornhub may be a controversial network, broadening the appeal of blockchain payment processing means that other services (especially those categorized as “high risk”) may start adopting similar payment processing models as well.
Adult-oriented digital storefronts such as The Hat Rack, MangaGamer, or Jast USA could really benefit from these models and help secure them from being deplatformed by corrupt, ideologically driven payment processors. That has been one of the biggest issues plaguing a lot of services deemed politically incorrect by the oligarchs of Big Tech.
PumaPay is also already making some headway in the field by allowing users of Utherverse to make payments through their blockchain setup.
