Nearly every single major or notable enthusiast media outlet covering video games has an account on ResetEra. Most major gaming studios have members who are part of the ResetEra community. The caustic terrorist forum is renown for enforcing censorship standards on games and ruining the artistic vision of certain titles, especially Japanese games via influencing the localization team to butcher said games when they arrive Stateside. Recently, a Twitter account put together a lengthy thread outlining just how far the tentacles of ResetEra reach into the inner heart of the gaming industry and its influence over one of the largest entertainment sectors in the world.
The Twitter account ResetEra Takes made the thread on March 11th, 2020. It was basically to address all of the naysayers who consistently say that ResetEra has no influence over the gaming industry and that it’s just a “conspiracy theory” that they get games censored or cost developers their jobs when they do something that they deem “problematic” or “toxic”.
And of course saying localisation studios listen to them in particular is a blatant lie, there are only 8 mod-verified translators on the forum.

The games mentioned in that tweet are significant because Persona 5 Royal was censored at the behest of ResetEra. Regressive Leftists claimed that ResetEra had nothing to do with the game being altered and that the game was simply being altered to reflect today’s changing times, all while ignoring that the localizers working on games like Persona are mod-verified members of the ResetEra community.
Yakuza 3 Remaster was another victim of censorship. The game was originally censored in Japan after the producers said that some of the content didn’t meet today’s “moral values”. That censorship was carried over into the Western release of the game as well, where a certain character was removed because he was deemed “transphobic”, and iconography was censored.
The censorship was covered in depth by YouTube outfit Censored Gaming.
Some people will use the excuse “Well, the Japanese did it! That had nothing to do with ResetEra!” while completely ignoring that the producers had someone whispering in their ear about “transphobia” because they sure as heck didn’t give two squats about it back in 2009.
This is no surprise given that a senior localization producer for Sega and Atlus is part of the ResetEra hive, along with a member from NIS America, 8-4, and even Sekai Project.
But it doesn’t end there.
Now we’ll talk about community managers, remember when Resetera g̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶G̶O̶G̶ ̶P̶R̶ ̶g̶u̶y̶ ̶f̶i̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶t̶t̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶h̶e̶l̶i̶c̶o̶p̶t̶e̶r̶ ̶j̶o̶k̶e̶?̶ owned the GOG transphobe? seems like GOG liked that, they even let their new PR guys join the forum pic.twitter.com/bfwHmJwoAX

This is in reference to when a GOG.com employee was doxed by ResetEra and subsequently fired over tweeting out the hashtag #WontBeErased because they deemed the use of the hashtag “transphobic”.
This man’s life was completely ruined due to the terrorist actions of ResetEra, yet GOG.com continued to court the community of ResetEra even after they damned a man’s life to depression, misery, and financial ruin.
His situation was covered in a video by YouTuber SidAlpha.
The ResetEra Takes account then went on to outline all the other major development studios and publishers who have members registered on their forums, ranging from Sony and Microsoft to Electronic Arts, Take-Two and Square Enix.
Convinced yet? I can do this all day.

In some ways that puts into perspective why Square Enix now has an “Ethics Department” to ensure that characters like Tifa Lockhart have their assets locked down with completely pointless sports bras.
Others like Limited Run Games are also part of the ResetEra oligarchy, which would explain why they were quick to bend the knee and toss THQ Nordic under the bus during their AMA on ResetEra.
“Yeah yeah but companies still listen to them!!!1!”
Explain why there’s only 9 mod-verified publisher accounts of Resetera.
you might bring up that time they crucified Limited Run Games & forced them to apologize for publishing a THQ Nordic game but uuuuuuuuuh shut the fuck up pic.twitter.com/0m26RWRSVe— Resetera Takes 🏳️🌈 (@ReeraTakes) March 11, 2020
The comments under the thread are filled with tears from completely benighted sociological serfs who were bereaved and mentally wrecked over seeing GOG.com and CD Projekt Red being part of the ResetEra inner circle.
This is despite the fact that we’ve been incessantly warning and informing people that Cyberpunk 2077 was converged. It also explains why every time ResetEra complained about something, CD Projekt Red was quick to address it.
Maybe now that a Progressive Liberal on Twitter laid the facts out for the plebeians they’ll take the information to heart, but given that many people are already brainwashed by the corporate overlords that control every aspect of our society I doubt that they’ll hop off the hype train for “Open Borders: The Game”.
In any case, everyone who visits One Angry Gamer already knows all of this information. None of this is new. But for the Culture War neophytes maybe they’ll learn a thing or two.
But just to reiterate this point for everyone who didn’t believe us before: I told you so.
