Aytu BioScience Suspended From Twitter, Videos Banned From YouTube Due To New York Times Reporter

Aytu BioScience has been working on treating diseases using UV light as a disinfectant. One of their recent developments was using the UV light treatment to possibly cure the coronavirus, but big tech isn’t having any of it, and are removing the videos and their channels from the web. The censorship, however, was enacted upon by request of New York Times reporter Davey Alba.

Alba openly admitted to having a hand in getting Aytu Bioscience’s Healight video removed from YouTube. He did so with a tweet posted on April 24th, 2020.

I contacted YouTube about this video, which is being shared on tons of replies on Twitter & on Facebook, by people asserting that it backs up Trump’s idea throwing it out there that UV rays kill coronavirus.

YouTube just said it removed it for violating its community guidelines. pic.twitter.com/gbs5Igq0yy

This came just days after there was a story in Yahoo News about the healight treatment being advanced at Aytu Bioscience, a publicly traded company, in collaboration with scientists such as Dr. Ruchi Mathur.

We’ve already shown that the #Healight kills bacteria. Now we show that it can also kill #coronavirus. We’re excited to partner with .@BioScienceAytu to move the technology forward to help patients all over the world! Full story here: https://t.co/lPftJPbaFC pic.twitter.com/vEdMgIWVrQ

Mark Dice confirmed that Alba did manage to get the video removed.

Links to the video will show a message stating that it’s been removed by YouTube for violating the community guidelines.

BREAKING: YouTube has censored the promotional video of the #Healight developed by researchers at @CedarsSinai, claiming it violates the terms of service!

But it didn’t end there.

To ensure that Aytu couldn’t use their social media account to rebut any of the claims being made about them, their Twitter account was also suspended.

UPDATE: @Twitter just suspended the account of the publicly traded biotech company AYTU BioScience that created a novel COVID-19 treatment approach utilizing UV light in the lungs that @realDonaldTrump was talking about.

This is ridiculous! https://t.co/4zwadZr9Yn pic.twitter.com/df9Qkbfmuk

The removal of the videos from YouTube and their presence on Twitter has to do with Big Tech’s recently rolled out policies where they get to dictate what they determine to be “misinformation” or “fake news” regarding health care procedures and scientific breakthroughs related to medicinal practices.

YouTube, for instance, openly stated that anything that goes against or doesn’t align with mandates or public statements made by the World Health Organization will be removed and/or banned from YouTube.

Twitter is also enacting wide sweeping measures to ban, suspend, or remove content that they claim will help proliferate or spread diseases such as the coronavirus.

Facebook has been removing content as well, using their “fact checkers” to determine what is and isn’t “misinformation”, even while one of the fact checkers worked at the Wuhan level 4 virology lab in China.

We’re basically seeing Big Tech operate above board to censor and curtail the spread of information beyond even the levels of government.

The fact that they’re allowed to dictate the conversation – even more-so than elected officials and health authorities – regarding a viral pandemic should speak volumes to the unsettling reality that nations are now being governed by a corporatocracy.

On the upside, at least some users were keen enough to save and re-upload the Aytu Healight video that was originally taken down from YouTube.
