Battlefield V Doesn't Have The Tech To Support Double XP, Says DICE

EA and DICE know how to top themselves each time they surface in the news. This time, a DICE community manager claims that the team doesn’t have the tech or know-how to add in “double XP” into Battlefield V even though past Battlefield games running on the same game engine have featured it in the past.

Heck, on March 25th, 2020, Battlefield 1 had a double XP event going on (and development for that game ended a long time ago) and runs on the same Frostbite 3 engine:

BF4, BFH and BF1 – Oopsie. We seem to have tripped over some Double XP levers. These may or not work, but they seem to be working, I think? Maybe? Yes! Sorry about that, we will do our best to remove it at our best snail pace. pic.twitter.com/1h9VOokSiw

When fans asked the producer over Battlefield V if there will be a double XP session, DICE offered no answer:

can you also trip on the Double XP lever for bfV pic.twitter.com/SLbCQcC9Kz

Nevertheless, the diversity hires that don’t know how to code even if their lives depended on it made news when website mp1st.com reported on this nonsense.

What seems like an April Fools’ joke is actually a reality, but what do you expect in clown world? Anyway, you can read the response as to why Battlefield V currently has no double XP event courtesy of the above website:

If you can’t read the above response, a written version lies below:

“The team is working on it – we had something planned for last week but after testing the user flow, it didn’t work correctly (meaning you couldn’t tell if you got the thing or not). There’s talks going on about more playlists, login rewards – but we want it to work.

As soon as it’s locked, tested, and tested again and ready to roll, we’ll let you know. I definitely understand what you mean and totally agree.

2XP, it just doesn’t work for BFV (even though we had it for the last 4 BF

From what I’ve been told, the tech isn’t there for it. They’re looking at options, but I don’t have any further details yet.”

I’m guessing EA and Dice were right all along when they said: “Battlefield will never be the same.”

Anyway, the team at Dice is working on the “tech” as we speak. This means that the small number of players playing the game will be able to enjoy more XP for the SJW broken game that keeps on delivering memes.

Last but not least, Battlefield V is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
