Female-Led Star Wars Series Reportedly In The Works From Harvey Weinstein's Former Assistant

Leslye Headland, Harvey Weinstein’s former assistant, is supposedly working on a new Disney Plus series about an alternate timeline of Star Wars themed around some martial arts females. If that sounds like bad fan-fiction from out of the autistic end of tumblr, you’re not alone. Unfortunately, this news has been spreading far and wide across some major media websites, and appears to be legitimate.

Deadline reported on April 22nd, 2020 that the new Star Wars project was currently being developed. In the short paragraph describing the series, Deadline wrote…

“While the exact plot is under wraps, but the series is understood to be a female-driven action thriller with martial arts elements and set in an alternate timeline from the usual Star Wars universe. Disney declined comment on the project, which was first reported by Variety.”

The hilarious part about it is that, as the headline states, Headland had worked for Harvey Weinstein during his prime-time hands-on-whores run in Hollywood, as detailed in a video by Geeks + Gamers.

Headland had been around Weinstein for some time, as noted in an article by i-D.vice.com back in October of 2017, she had worked at Miramax – Weinstein’s production outfit – for six years, with the article detailing…

“The 2008 play Assistance came with the standard disclaimer stating that it was a work of fiction. But reviewers immediately pointed out the parallels between the (then sort of comically) terrorized workplace it depicts and the Weinstein Company, where the play’s writer and director Leslye Headland once worked. Before writing Assistance, Headland worked at Weinstein Company and Miramax for six years, and was Harvey Weinstein’s personal assistant for ‘about a year.’”

This was originally made public in a headline by Entertainment Weekly in promoting Headland’s “tell-all” back in February of 2012.

So Headland was immersed well into Weinstein’s wining and dining days where he allegedly was having his way with Hollywood starlets and opted not to say anything about it.

And now she’s heading up a female-focused Star Wars project that might not ever materialize. As noted by Clownfish TV, there are rumors going around that LucasFilm wasn’t entirely happy about Headland prancing around promoting the show outside of the Disney PR protocol.

How true all of that is remains to be seen, but what doesn’t need any sort of clarification is Headland’s Social Justice-oriented mindset in approaching media creation.

Since she’s among the ranks of the LGBTQIA+, we all know what that means: lesbian Jedi.

But not just that, she made it known during a Variety interview that we can expect the most degenerate forms of “diversity” to rear its head in the upcoming Star Wars project. Dataracer posted up the clip in all its cringe-inducing woe.

And as if that wasn’t bad enough, Headland deleted hundreds of tweets before going around on the media parade to promote the new project.

What were the tweets she deleted? Well, based on the responses it was mostly invective towards straight whites. Of course.

Leslye Headland deleted 100’s of Tweets last night. Leftover replies show tweets bashing “white people.”

Disney/Marvel seems to be telling the SJW’s they’re hiring what tweets need to be deleted. pic.twitter.com/9pmG2NLb2d

I would love to see how Centrists™ try to spin their way out of this one.

It looks clear cut as day that this is going to be a vanity project for the Cornhole Commissars.
