Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4 Download Size Is 100GB, As Per Reports

Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare calls for 150GB of free space to install the first-person shooter, while Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 needs 100GB of free space. Well, it looks like those two games will be accompanied by Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake, given that the PS4 timed-exclusive install size is 100GB according to new reports.

Whether it is spaghetti code, uncompressed files, or whatever, there’s no denying that as of recent, these newer triple-A games call for more space on your PC, PS4, and Xbox One. And it looks like Final Fantasy VII Remake is no exception.

With that said, if for some reason you are looking to pick up the forthcoming JRPG despite Square Enix’s Ethics Department showing out when it comes to SJW double standards, which includes Tifa on multiple occasions and Shiva, then get ready to make room on your PS4.

According to both gamingbolt.com and dualshockers.com, the game will take up a lot of space, which was originally spotted by Twitter user Miraculous Maku:

As seen in the second picture and on the lower half of the box, the cover shows that the game is “100GB minimum.” In other words, expect updates, hotfixes, and other patches to increase the file-size from here on out.

In other words, for those that like Sony and its policies need to either delete games and make space on their PS4 or buy an external hard drive to install this RPG.

Furthermore, Yoshinori Kitase — Final Fantasy VII Remake’s director — said that this game is set to be on two Blu-ray discs. However, it’s unclear if part two of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be 100GB and on two discs?

However it goes, we’ll find out soon. But for now, the first game will launch on two Blu-ray discs and calls for PS4 goers to free up 100GB of space.
