It looks like the rumor of the Xbox Team showing off more games in May is true. As of today, a random user on Twitter asked Xbox boss Phil Spencer about said rumor, and it looks like new game reveals aren’t too far off and will happen quite soon.
We reported on April 20th, 2020, that the cancelation of this year’s E3 has bumped up news on next-gen content. And later, we covered next-gen news isn’t too far off according to screenrant.com and analyst Daniel Ahmad. In other words, info on next-gen consoles and video games will surface sometime throughout May, but before June 9th, 2020.
Falling in-line with the above information came a report on April 22nd, 2020, from website videogameschronicle.com, saying that the Xbox Team will show off new games and potentially a smaller version of the Xbox Series X.
With all of the above laid out, Spencer had the following to say when a random Twitter user inquired about the May rumor:
Reviewed plans yesterday for continued sharing through launch. Team is doing great work and adapting. I’ve never been more excited about Xbox plans. We’ve heard you, you want transparency/authenticity. We plan to keep showing that way, next step is not too much of a wait (games)

If you can’t see or read the tweets in question, Spencer’s reply lies below:
“Reviewed plans yesterday for continued sharing through launch. Team is doing great work and adapting. I’ve never been more excited about Xbox plans. We’ve heard you, you want transparency/authenticity. We plan to keep showing that way, next step is not too much of a wait (games).”
As of now, we have to wait and see if the Xbox Team will go through with its plans to reveal new games and potentially detail info on the Xbox Series X’s price or if the team will cancel plans due to coronavirus concerns.
Last but not least, it’s unclear if Halo: Infinite will make an appearance at this event, but seeing that it’s going to be a launch title for the Xbox Team’s next-gen console, it wouldn’t be out of the box for it to appear during the May event. However it goes, new games will head up the forthcoming Xbox event.
