Social Media Accounts Getting DMCA'd For Sharing The Last Of Us 2 Leaks

We already knew that YouTube channels were getting struck and shutdown for sharing leaks from The Last of Us 2. However, what some of you may not have known is that Sony is also targeting Twitter users as well.

Artist Storm Yorha warned followers that even mentioning leaks about The Last of Us 2 could net your tweets a spot in Twitter jail due to a Digtal Millennium Copyright Claim.

do NOT mention [REDACTED] leaks. if your tweet gets traction, regardless if you post footage or not, sony will literally file a DMCA takedown on your account, same goes for youtube or any network pic.twitter.com/gVQnIrRIFo

As you can see, the referenced tweet that was taken down simply stated “An (Angry?) Employee Is Leaking Last of Us 2 On YouTube Again LOOL what the HELL is going on”.

The tweet is still up the media linked to the tweet has been removed.

YouTubers haven’t been entirely as lucky as some Twitter users, as their entire accounts are getting nuked for uploading any footage from The Last of Us 2.

Sony’s legal team has been vigilantly going after any accounts that share spoilers or leaks from The Last of Us 2, hoping to prevent more backlash against the game ahead of its June 19th, 2020 release date on the PlayStation 4.

The cat is out of the bag, though, and a lot of normal people aren’t in any way excited or pleased with the way the story has been handled. Major characters are killed off in completely ridiculous ways, the new lead in the game looks trans, and the whole thing is wrapped around pro-lesbian propaganda. It’s basically a vanity project catering to a minuscule portion of the consumer demographic that don’t play games.
