Arvi VR Escape Room Games Leaving Oculus Store, SteamVR

If you’re interested in checking out some escape room-style VR games, Arvi VR specializes in them and have a whole slew of games mostly designed around VR arcades/theme parks where you attempt to escape or survive through a number of different scenarios ranging from cyberpunk futuristic battlegrounds, to prisons, to tropical islands.

Even though some of the games were only just made available for personal use via the Viveport, Oculus Store, and Steam VR this past spring, apparently a change in direction for the company will see the games leaving the digital storefronts soon.

According to one of the developers at Arvi VR, they are changing their strategy for distributing games and so their titles will be leaving the Oculus Store and the Steam Store, meaning their availability for home personal use was only going to be for a limited time.

However, if you wanted to get your hands on the games it might be best to do so now.

Some of their titles include the game Mission Sigma, where you’re tasked with disarming a nuclear bomb in just under 45 minutes.

Other titles include Survival, where you’re on a plane that crashes in a tropical island and must discover ways out of the island.

Others like House of Fear sees you trapped in a darkly lit house where horrors await you around almost every corner.

Your job is to find a way out of the house and escape to safety while being hunted.

There are a couple of other VR escape room titles where you escape from prison, as well as a game set in a cyberpunk complex where you must acquire archives and get out of the facility unnoticed.

It looks cool even though hardly any gameplay is showcased in the promotional media.

Not all of their games are escape room titles, though. Some of Arvi VR games are more along the lines of classical shooters, such as Archer.

It was explained exactly why these games are being removed from Steam and the Oculus Store, but if you were interested in checking them out you can do so right now.

For more information feel free to visit the official Arvi VR website or check their games out on Steam.
