When it comes to the rules for thee establishment, especially the left the phrase, “If they didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards,” provides us a very apt description. Here is a group that will deplatform people over perceived racism, virtue signal how they are not racist, and denounce all forms of racism real or otherwise. Then go on to rewrite history to be less problematic and more inclusive. Only to — at the first instance of a black man breaking rank — hurl racial slurs, denouncements, and every sickeningly derogatory remark possible to make him fall back in line.
Tim Pool did a video about that very instance recently.
From this group came the wonderful world of gender politics. Where women are systematically oppressed and underrepresented in positions of power. Only positions of well-paying power, though. Coal miners, garbage truck workers, sewer workers, construction, those jobs men can have, but they reserve the right to point out how it is unfair women are paid on aggregate less. Despite refusing to work in oil fields and other dangerous occupations.
From this feminist mindset then came the #MeToo Movement. A movement that after ruining countless men’s lives is now at last dying. Owing in large parts to the revelations coming from the Johnny Depp and Amber Hearde litigation. Alongside the founder of the movement endorsing Joe Biden while dismissing his accuser’s accusations against him.
This was also covered by Tim Pool.
In Politico you hear all the usual retorts. By which I mean: dodge the issue entirely, virtue signal, and then passive-aggressively insinuate there are no merits to Tara Reade’s allegations. One potential VP nominee’s adviser chose instead to break rank and give readers insights into what the Democratic Party is thinking as the standards the #MeToo Movement are now applied to them.
“‘Believe the woman’ didn’t mean believe all women, all the time. But this is an era of slogans and we’re paying the price for that,” said an adviser to one of the women under consideration.
“The #MeToo movement was an over-correction to decades of ignoring women and not believing them. And what we’re seeing now is a result of that over-correction. It’s not ideal. It’s not what we want to be talking about.”
Of course, they don’t want to talk about the issue. It just keeps getting worse for Biden as Reade files a police report to secure the internal democratic party report she filed after it happened. They don’t want to discuss how her mother called into the Larry King show and asked what her daughter could do to seek justice. Nor how Google appears to have removed the evidence by deleting the episode in question. Unlike Trump and Kavanaugh’s accusers, this isn’t a decades-ago-accusation with no witnesses or evidence.
Leaving the Democrats in a problematic position. They cannot replace Biden, because it will be seen as a subversion of the democratic process, but if they continue forward with the candidate they’ll, in essence, be endorsing sexual assault. As more evidence comes out against Biden their continued attempts to bury the story only make them look like absolute hypocrites.
Oh well. Play stupid games rather than tackling serious issues, then you win stupid prizes.
