Electronic Arts (best known as EA) recently went up with its Q4 earnings report. During said call, we learn that new game announcements are inbound and consist of four or more new titles from the publisher/developer.
EA doesn’t have the best reputation, and it doesn’t take much to dig up the skeletons that still haunt the company — much like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and its microtransaction fiasco or the company’s social justice ways.
Nevertheless, EA is still on track to release new games, and it looks like the company might use its upcoming “EA Play Live” 2020 digital event on June 11th at 4:00 P.M. PST to announce these unannounced titles.

Aside from EA Play Live, we learn from website mp1st.com the following information via EA’s earnings slide:
“We expect to announce additional title releases in FY21 over the coming months, including an unannounced EA SPORTS title, an additional EA HD title, four EA Partners titles and two mobile soft-launches.
In addition to our unannounced FY21 releases, we will see platform expansions for our current EA titles, plus the release of our previously announced Medal of Honor VR title in partnership with Oculus.”
Behold, though, these upcoming games will more than likely feature live-service mechanics given EA’s love for said “feature.” According to Blake Jorgensen — EA’s COO and CFO — we learn that the current pandemic hasn’t damped the company’s latest quarter thanks to live-service mechanics:
“We’ve had a strong year. Our results this quarter prove the value of the live services path we’ve been on now for a decade. The breadth and depth of our live services give the flexibility we need at times like this to meet player needs. I want to thank everyone at EA for rising to the challenge. People across the company have shown extraordinary innovation, energy and ingenuity. Learnings from this period will forever change the way we work at EA.”
So what can we take away from the above? Well, we can expect EA to announce/release additional titles in Fiscal Year 2021 over the coming months, which include an “unannounced EA SPORTS title, an additional EA HD title, four EA Partners titles and two mobile soft-launches” along with the release of “Medal of Honor VR.”
Lastly, EA Play Live will kick-off this year as a digital event on June 11th at 4:00 P.M. PST. You can catch the event by tuning in to ea.com on said date and time.
