Jeff Fowler’s Sonic: The Hedgehog is really a shining beacon of how to capture a license for a franchise, completely screw up artistically, do a complete 180, and steer the project from the lane of heading to Get Woke, Go Broke-ville and toward the Red Pills Pay Bills town. It was thanks to Fowler and the studio’s willingness to listen to fans that the movie managed to become startling success and now Paramount Pictures has greenlit a sequel.
The news was confirmed both by a report by Variety and by Fowler himself, who tweeted out the following on May 28th, 2020.

If you follow the link over to the Variety page, it reveals that Paramount and Sega Sammy are teaming back up again for another live-action sequel to Jeff Fowler’s 2020 outing.
Pat Casey and Josh Miller have been charged with script writing, and details about the plot of Sonic: The Hedgehog 2 have not been disclosed.
The movie competed against the woke Birds of Prey film front-lined by Margot Robbie. The feminist themed super villain flick did not fare well at the box office against the little blue hedgehog, and Sonic blasted Harley Quinn so hard in the butt that it shot Birds of Prey straight onto the Get Woke, Go Broke Master List.
This rare moment where Hollywood listened to fans instead of going with the original, perverted, furry-themed look for Sonic was truly a standout moment of 2019. In an era where most companies hate the people who spend money on their products, a lot of people were shocked that Paramount took the feedback to heart and made Sonic look palatable for normal viewing audiences.
I’m sure a small percentage of DeviantArt furry users were miffed about the change, though.
Anyway, there’s no release date on when Sonic 2 will hit theaters, but they obviously have some time given that Mistress Corona-chan is still forcing corrupt politicians to illegally keep people locked in their homes or forced to wear germ-metastasizing masks.
