Twitch Censoring Simp Emotes For Being “Harassment”

The censorship we warn everyone about usually goes ignored until it hits the person constantly proclaiming that “there is no agenda!”. Of course, in the case of Big Tech companies like Twitch.tv, censorship is just all part of the culture on that platform, so much so that you can’t even use “simp” emotes anymore because the platform has labeled it as “harassment”. Both big and small Twitch streamers are being hit with the censorship and are now complaining about it on social media.

Kotaku did an article on May 8th, 2020 highlighting some of the streamers who have been affected by the censorship, where they’re tweeting about it and informing their audience about the emotes that are no longer allowed on the platform.

In an e-mail, Twitch told Kotaku…

“Our community guidelines prohibit harassment, and as a part of this, we deny emotes that are designed to abuse or demean others, or can be misused for such behavior.”

This prompted TheQuartering to do a video about the censorship, as we’re seeing more and more forms of expression that don’t align with the Regressive Left’s ever-changing orthodoxy.

Other terms many people use to highlight retards, simpletons, degenerates, and whores have also been banned across various social media platforms, such as the word “thot”, which can now result in you being banned from Twitter for using the word.

Expect more popular insults and emotes to find their way onto Twitch’s naughty list as the company is wont to do.

Also expect Centrists™ to run to the defense of Twitch, which is usually what they do whenever Big Tech censorship escalates. They run the equivocation and deflection game, attempting to justify why more words need to be censored or banned or falling back to the paradoxical statement “freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences”, which typically means they don’t support free speech if they support people losing their jobs, houses, and livelihood for exercising free speech. But that’s to be expected from censorship apologists.
