Thomas Jane hasn’t been in any significant films since his 2007 outing of The Mist. His stock in Hollywood seems to have dwindled down to nothing, but every once in a while he seems to pop up in an indie project that might be worth checking out from Signature Films called Bulletproof. It’s scheduled to release on September 7th, 2020 later this year… assuming it doesn’t get caught up in cancel culture and shelved indefinitely.
The film is about a veteran cop giving a rookie a tour of the ropes around the dangerous parts of the city. Commenters on the YouTube trailer point out that it seems like a night-time version of Antoine Fuqua and David Ayer’s Training Day.
Based on the clips featured in the trailer, it looks like the film touches on race realism, the hard truth that police work is not black and white the way Left make it seem, and that it usually takes a tough man do the hard work of keeping the public safe. You can check out the trailer below courtesy Movie Trailers Source.
The film looks like it takes the “gritty”, “realistic” approach to the action and cinematography. It looks gripping, no doubt about it.
However, if the film isn’t chiefly anti-cop – and based on the trailer, it looks more like it portrays the street-hardened Thomas Jane as a guy pushed to the edge of society by the filth, thugs, and vandals, all while just trying to do right by the general public – then expect the Social Justice Warriors to rally up the mob and aim to get the film canned before it release in September.
Centrists™ will try to claim this is “fake news!” and “paranoid delusion!” or a “conspiracy theory!” but the intelligence-bereft mongrels fail to realize that cancel culture has already targeted cop media. Cops, for instance, has already been cancelled in the wake of the anti-law enforcement riots taking place across the United States, as reported by the Washington Post.
Other shows such as Live PD have also been cancelled, as reported by TV Series Finale. And more networks are being pressured by media outlets to put other shows such as Law & Order on the chopping block as well.
Anything that depicts police in a positive light is being targeted for cancellation. Hopefully Bulletproof can make it through the onslaught, assuming it isn’t a piece of Liberal-propaganda disguised as a film about the shades of gray that come with being a law enforcer.
There’s only a couple of months to go before it hits DVD and Blu-ray, so we’ll see if it can hold out against any social media onslaughts conjured up by the Intersectional Inquisition.
