DC Comics has been spiraling down the drain for quite a while now. They’ve regularly race-swapped, sex-swapped, or gender-swapped characters, and every new print edition is basically a gamble if one of your beloved characters will get the pozz-treatment. Well, if Steve Trevor happened to be your favorite, he’s not only be race-swapped but gay-swapped, too.
According to ComicBook.com, Laurie Halse Anderson and Leila del Duca’s Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed graphic novel decided to completely desecrate the character of Steve Trevor by doing three things: splitting him into two different characters, changing his sexual orientation, and race-swapping both his doppelgangers.
While typically Steve Trevor has been the love interest for Diana, and also her bridge from her world into the human realm, Anderson and Duca decided to spit on the legacy of the character by making it exclusively oriented for the alphabet soup brigade.
In Tempest Tossed Steve Trevor becomes Steve Chang and he’s married to another man named Trevor, who is a black soldier. The two are helping refugees in Greece and are aided by Wonder Woman, who leaves Thymyscria to also help the refugees.
The entire thing is overt Liberal propaganda, and it comes shortly after an Elseworld spin-off for Batman that turned Bruce Wayne Asian and Alfred into a gay Chinese man. Yes, they have quite the obsession with gayifying your favorite heroes.
And they go out of their way to rub the whole thing in your face like a crotch-plate when you’re getting tea-bagged in Halo.
Even ComicBook noted that the entire character alteration was to remove any hint of heterosexual romance between Steve and Diana, writing…
“The creative team doubles not only not doesn’t make Trevor a love interest for Diana, but eliminates the possibility of his ever being one by turning him into two married individuals. This is also significant because it gives Diana her first glimpse of a loving relationship outside of her home.”
There’s no defending any aspect of this, it’s just out and out blatant propaganda. It also ignores some basic facts about choosing to engage the homosexual lifestyle:
- Gays and lesbians are only 1.6% of the population but gays account for 67% of all HIV cases.
- Gays have higher rates of substance and drug abuse.
- Lesbians have double the rates of domestic abuse.
- Gays statistically have far more sexual partners than heterosexuals.
- Gays have higher than normal STD rates.
- Gays have higher than normal suicide rates.
They’ve flirted with turning Diana into a lesbian for some time now, but don’t be surprised if they go full bore with it at some point in the future.
They just keep on pushing, knowing that Centrists™ will defend them and most long-time comic book fans will either have to give up their favorite pastime or submit to the giant, dangling dong of the Cornhole Commissars.
