Joining Capcom in abandoning EVO 2020 is the very woke NetherRealm Studios, makers of Mortal Kombat 11. They announced that they would no longer be supporting this year’s event after the co-founder and organizer, Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar, was outed for sexual misconduct involving a minor from over 20 years ago. The event itself was also cancelled after various sponsors pulled out.
NetherRealm – whose executive producer, Ed Boon, is on the Traitors of America list – made the announcement on July 2nd, 2020.
We stand in solidarity with those who have spoken out against abuse. We will be pulling MK11 from EVO Online.

The tweet is short and simple, indicating that Mortal Kombat 11 won’t be appearing at EVO Online this year.
Bandai Namco also announced that they were pulling out, too.

GameFaqs has compiled a list of sponsors that have said goodbye to EVO, including but not limited to EQNX Gaming and UYU.

If the FGC wanted to avoid this kind of nonsense they shouldn’t have accommodated the mental illness of the pronoun profile brigade, or constantly giving leeway to every single accusation or milquetoast “micro aggression” levied at people by the politically correct Cultural Marxists that have invaded nearly every single major gaming community on the web.
Now that everybody is jumping on on this ridiculous #MeToo parade and giving platforms to decades’ old offenses the entire thing is imploding faster than CHAZ.
However, this is the inevitability of accommodating degeneracy.
