Battletoads 24 Minutes Of Gameplay Revealed By Rare And Dlala Studios

Rare Studios and Dlala Studios recently revealed that they don’t even know how to play their own game in a new gameplay overview. Moreover, this new gameplay session also doubles over as a promotional video to help increase the visibility of Battletoads before it becomes available for PC and the Xbox One family of consoles on August 20th, 2020.

Battletoads, according to the devs, is a casual game that does not punish button-mashing. In other words, timing, skill, and player interaction can be thrown out the window in Battletoads 2020, undermining the more unforgiving past installments in the series of mad toads.

Furthermore, the video also touches on different activities that (one or more) players will be able to do while playing Battletoads 2020. This ranges from biking scenes, hacking segments to the usual beat ’em up stuff.

With all of that said, you can check out the 24-minute long gameplay video right here, which explores a portion of what gamers and fans alike will be able to experience when the game’s August 20th due date rolls around:

You want a Battletoads blowout? GO ON THEN! Here’s 25 minutes of Dlala Studios and Rare Ltd brawling, biking and blasting through some choice cuts of the multi-genre adventure on Toad difficulty, through the magic of Steam Remote Play in order to help us maintain social distancing. Just in case you can’t possibly wait till Thursday to get your hands on it yourself.

It’s a real shame that this game censored the Dark Queen and is doused from top to bottom in Cal Arts. It’s also a darn shame in that the game aims to be a casual experience while discarding the hard aspects of the series.

Anyway, Battletoads will release on the 20th this month for PC (via Steam and the Windows Store) and Xbox One.
