Metroid Prime 4 is the game that faced a development reset way back in the early part of 2019. However, progress is being made on the forthcoming title in that Retro Studios has hired quite a bit of well-known devs and is now looking for a lead producer to help with said game’s development.
Way back on October 29th, 2019, Retro Studios managed to hire Halo character modeler, Kyle Hefley, as the game’s lead artist. Later, on June 30th, 2020, Retro Studios has scooped up Call of Duty: Black Ops veteran Bharathwaj Nandakumar to help out on the game’s development.
In addition to the above, Nandakumar helped create the “Theatre Mode” in the original Black Ops, which is the first time a replay feature was in a Call of Duty game. Moreover, he also helped with leading data instrumentation and analytics for Treyarch’s most recent Call of Duty titles.
Furthermore, Retro Studios also scooped up Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst and Battlefield V art director Jhony Ljungstedt. It’s worth noting that Retro Studios had been advertising for an art director role for more than a year before Ljungstedt joined the dev team.
Right now, the team is looking to move development along with the help of a lead producer. This information can be found on Retro Studios’ Twitter account, which details the following information:
We are looking for a 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿 to join us on our journey to develop Metroid Prime 4! #GameJobs #GameDev #GameDevJobshttps://t.co/NWVPLGel3E pic.twitter.com/4hpOgw0Byg

Lastly, it seems as if Retro Studios is targeting people that worked on triple-A games to help out with Metroid Prime 4 given the above names, but the real question is, will the finished product be any good? While we wait to find out, the game is due out for Switch and has no release date.
