Snoot Entertainment Partners With Campo Santo To Make Firewatch Movie

The big bad self-righteous SJW best known as Sean Vanaman and Campo Santo will be working with Snoot Entertainment to create a feature film adaptation of the controversial 2016 game Firewatch. It’s unclear at this point when the movie will hit the silver screen, but it’s currently in the works as of a new report.

If you are scratching your head while wondering: “What makes Vanaman and Campo Santo social justice warriors?” Well, way back in 2017, PewDiePie said nigger during a stream of PUBG, which sent Vanaman or the founder over Campo Santo over the edge.

In addition to the above, Vanaman issued out a DMCA take-down to said content creator so that he could not play Firewatch or any future Campo Santo games. With that said, you can watch a 2017 recap video by Lawful Masses with Leonard French covering the situation:

A year later in 2018, Vanaman took up an interview with GamesTM Magazine, which allowed the founder of Campo Santo to air his frustration over gamers perceiving In The Valley of Gods as being social engineering agitprop.

Here’s a blockquote of Vanaman expressing his views on the 2018 situation:

“Something that I’ve found really interesting is that when we showed the trailer, some of the first comments that I saw – and maybe this is coincidence, random and not at all predominant – were people wondering if Zora and Rashida were a romantic couple. That’s so weird!

I mean, obviously, there are people coming at us with the ‘SJƜ bullshit’ and being, like, ‘Oh you’re just going to make a game about minority lesbians?’ And I’m just like… what!?

First off, if you want to make that game you should make that game – nobody should feel precluded from making that game if it’s in their heart and are willing to go through the hell of making a videogame to do it. But I didn’t watch the trailer for Uncharted and wonder if Nate and Sully were going to fuck. Like nobody did and nobody does… it’s just gender bias, and it’s very strange.”

With all of that laid out, as of 2020, website hollywoodreporter.com reports that Vanaman and Jake Rodkin will produce for Campo Santo while Keith Calder and Jess Wu Calder will produce for Snoot Entertainment.

If you don’t know what production banner Snoot Entertainment has under its belt, it currently consists of Battle for Terra (2007), Blair Witch (2016), Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! (2017), Blindspotting (2018), and Little Monsters (2019), among other titles.

Although word on a due date is out of the picture right now, what is in frame is Calder’s thoughts:

“Firewatch is a stunning accomplishment, a beautiful and heartbreaking piece of art. I’m delighted that Sean and Jake are letting us ruin their perfect video game by turning it into a movie and/or TV show.”

Vanaman also chimed in saying:

“Jess and Keith are hard-working and visionary film producers with impeccable taste in video games. Not unlike when we met Joe Drake and the team at Good Universe in 2016, we knew in our first conversation with Jess and Keith that they’d make great partners. We have no doubt in their expertise, their taste and their passion and assume that our experience as so-so game developers will make us first-rate producing partners.”

Lastly, Firewatch the movie will likely follow the game’s plot that takes place in the Wyoming wilderness in 1989 while exploring the events of the 2016 title in a familiar way.
