Rick & Morty co-creator Dan Harmon recently deleted his Twitter account after a video from 2009 resurfaced from a mock parody show Harmon did where he simulated rape on a baby doll as part of the sketch show, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
The deletion of the Twitter account was in response to people calling for his job via an online Twitter mob after the video resurfaced nine years later. This comes on the heels of Disney recently firing James Gunn from being the director of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 when old tweets resurfaced of Gunn making pedophilic jokes.
The real story here is that discussion of this matter has been censored rather heavily over on 4chan.
There are a series of threads that are now only ghosts on Google’s cache. If you attempt to visit the threads you end up with a 404.
As noted in the image of one of the last thread, the user points out that the mods on 4chan kept deleting the threads that were posted up as the news was breaking on July 22nd, 2018.
There’s actually a web archive of one of the threads that the 4chan mods deleted from the Comics & Cartoons board. The thread also contains a link to the video clip of Harmon’s short where he simulates raping the baby doll.
Many of the threads popping up on 4chan keep getting deleted, forcing conversation to take place off-site.
This certainly throws a wrench in Julia Alexander’s narrative over on Polygon, where she attempted to blame 4chan for the spread of the news, even though it barely managed to get seen on the imageboard since almost all of the threads were rapidly deleted.
So far, Harmon has not been fired as of the writing of this article. Many Leftist on Twitter are now calling for the Social Justice Warrior job-lynching to come to an end now that it may affect one of the shows they hold dear.

The trial by public castigation has become a machine employed often by Social Justice Warriors. Now that it’s come back to target some of the people that SJWs admire, it’s become a difficult ordeal for some of them to withstand.
But more pressing is that communication regarding this issue is being censored in some places, and 4chan continues to show that if it doesn’t want people discussing a hot topic, you don’t get to discuss a hot topic.
