Producer and director Yohei Shimbori may have sent out a lot of mixed signals about what Dead or Alive 6 is supposed to be, leaving a lot of gamers befuddled, but some of the additional content that has come out for the game leading up to release seems to indicate that there are at least some elements of fan-service present in Dead or Alive 6 that will definitely appeal to old-school fans.
Twitter user Gameshibainu posted up a tweet on February 22nd, 2019 showcasing a few screenshots of the characters from Dead or Alive 6, and how you can use the face buttons on the controller, including Square, Triangle, Circle, and R2 on the PS4’s DualShock 4 or ‘X’, ‘Y’, ‘B’, or the right trigger on the Xbox One controller to alter the panties that the female fighters are wearing during the character selection process.

If you’re unable to see the pictures properly, you can check out the screenshots below, which feature Kokoro in four different types of panties in her school girl outfit. This includes black lace panties, solid pink panties, yellow striped panties, and cherry fruit panties.
This doesn’t really compensate for Dead or Alive 6 lacking the OMG Physics Mode like in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round or the tag team mode, but at least we know that some elements of fan-service are present.
We’ve also seen a number of gifs and videos showcasing more of the improved boob jiggle physics.
Originally Shimbori was constantly professing to Western game journalists that they had to tone down the game’s sex appeal because it’s no longer allowed in today’s society.
Shimbori has constantly talked about the reduction in sex appeal, and how they had to tone down the clothing damage and sexy costumes. However, it was discovered that some of the more risque outfits from previous entries have made a return.
So it seems like Team Ninja is trying to sneakily add in the fan-service to avoid being completely destroyed by corrupt media outlets pushing their sociopolitical agenda that involves removing or barring feminine sex appeal from appearing in video games.
We’ll see how everything turns out for Dead or Alive 6 when the game launches on March 1st, 2019 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
