Crian Soft’s Metal Fury 3000 is like a pre-rendered, 2D, side-scrolling rendition of Ritual Entertainment’s Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. 2. If you’re familiar with the original Heavy Metal movies, which were adult-oriented tales themed around some cool heavy metal music, then you probably get the gist of what Metal Fury 3000 is aiming to achieve in video game format.
Crian Soft is also no stranger to risque content featuring scantily clad ladies. Their previous outings, including Age of Barbarian and Age of Barbarian: The Slave Fortress were chock full of boobs, blades, and blood, and they seem to targeting a very similar audience with the upcoming action-platformer, Metal Fury 3000.
There’s not much of a description of the game other than that you play as a super hot vixen going around blasting the living crap out of enemies and dismembering them, but maybe that’s enough to lure in gamers looking to play as a hot vixen that goes around strange worlds, blasting the crap out of enemies.
Well that didn’t really explain much at all, did it?
We at least got an idea of what the world will look like, and thanks to a few screenshots on the Steam page we get to see how the 2D-style presentation will be setup, but the trailer didn’t give us any hint at all about how the game actually plays.
Anyway, the artwork is eerily similar to Simon Bisley’s work for Ritual Entertainment’s Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2, which featured then softcore skin-flick actress Julia Strain in the lead role.
In the case of Metal Fury 3000, you will fight dinosaurs, dark magicians, inquisitors, and all manner of other enemies in between, all while listening to a heavy metal soundtrack.
I doubt the game will break records or elevate the sub-genre to new heights, but I suppose if you’re looking for cheap thrills with a sexy lead, then you can keep an eye on Metal Fury 3000.
The Steam store page is currently active where you can wishlist or follow the game leading up to its 2020 release.
