I don’t know how Igrasil Studio managed to convinced the software curators at Valve to allow the R18+ version of the IF Mode “Kaoru” DLC to land on Steam, but somehow they did and have confirmed that the DLC will arrive March 10th on the digital distribution platform.
The R18+ mode will launch alongside an all-ages edition of the DLC, so for people who would prefer not to see the explicit content, they can stick with the safe for work version.
So long as nothing waylays the release of the DLC, or so long as Social Justice Warriors don’t attack the developers, gamers should see the content arrive on Steam for purchase within the next couple of weeks.
So what exactly is the IF Mode “Kaoru” DLC for Blood Chronicles? It’s been teased a lot since the game’s release, but it’s been a long time in the making. According to the store page description, it tells an alternate story where players get to experience the fate of Kazuki and Kaoru’s relationship following the Phantom case.
It also covers the elements involving the successor to the Moriyama Copmany.
It’s a fairly substantial piece of content as well, granting gamers with more than six additional hours of content, and all new CG illustrations made by Hai and Toma Uehara to help flesh out the expression of the story.
If you already played through the entirety of The Bloody Chronicles: New Cycle of Death, then you’ll probably want to check out the DLC when it arrives.
Of course, if you’re a puritan and don’t care for sexual content in R18+ games, you can look to pick up the SFW version of the DLC. Alternatively, if you want the full experience with all of the uncensored content, you can also grab the R18+ version of the DLC.
As mentioned at the top of the article, you can look for both versions of the content to go live on March 10th next month.
