Darq DLC “The Tower” Will Be Free On March 6th, 2020

Unfold Games is keeping its word in that fans of Darq will gain free DLC throughout 2020, with the first being “The Tower.” Currently slated to drop on PC via Steam and GOG, the forthcoming expansion will go live on March 6th, 2020.

The upcoming expansion rocking the name “The Tower” is nearly here. If you don’t know, this DLC is a “thank you” to the community for supporting Darq when it launched.

As a matter of fact, here’s the tweet announcing said DLC:

DARQ first DLC “The Tower” is coming Friday March 6th! As promised, it will be available for free for all of you to enjoy ♥️

And for those wanting to see what this DLC has in store for gamers and fans alike, Unfold Games has shared a teaser trailer showing off “The Tower” as seen below:

After the second upcoming free DLC, which will arrive sometime later, Unfold Games will release a console port of Darq. In other words, console versions of Darq might appear mid-to-late this year.

Moreover, despite Unfold Games catching flack for sticking to its guns in August of last year from prominent U.S video game analysts like Matt Piscatella and people like Jason Schreier, Unfold Games is still thanking gamers (as seen with the first DLC releasing in the next six days) for showing support.

During this time, it’s rare to see devs standing up and keeping their promises despite mainstream media outlets and other leading figures deriding said devs for being ethical and pro-consumer.

Hopefully, we’ll see more from Unfold Games moving forward. But, right now, if you want to see what the expansion has to offer, you know what day to mark on your calendar.

Whether or not you have the game, you can learn more about Darq by heading on over to its Steam or GOG page.
