Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon Charges for New Game Plus

In a heartwarming display of solidarity, the Japanese entertainment Industry came together earlier this month to help out the Japanese people by releasing their content for free. Yes, it had some advantages for the companies, but it never the less was a charitable act for the people’s benefit. At the same time, the Japanese Gaming Industry has taken the opposite approach.

Starting with Nintendo taking the opportunity to cave to the pressures of Western activists and interject identity politics into Animal Crossing: New Horizons to please people who ultimately will never purchase their game.

Square Enix went on to release the now 7-year-old Tomb Raider for free, before proceeding to charge for the DLC, which included the Japanese language pack needed to actually be able to play the game.

Now Sega has joined their ranks by stripping out the Yakuza series’ staple New Game Plus and are selling it back to players as part of a bundle, as reported by Push Square. Named the Premium Masters Pack, players will in addition to the series staple mode get other additions that typically are released as a free thank you for your support content update.

Instead, users who purchase said pack before May 9th will only have to pay 7 yen ($.63), but those that wait longer will have to pay the full price of 980 or $8.79.

-Premium New Game (Normal, Hard, and Ex-Hard difficulty options)

-Super Final Millennium Tower (most difficult dungeon)

-Newly added PlayStation Network trophies

-Level-up your job rank to level 99

-Use weapons forging to upgrade your weapons to “Kiwami”

-Rare item shop added

Some struggle to understand why this is happening, but this is just a continuation of the spread of the cancerous anti-consumer practices of the mainstream western industry into Japan. With companies adopting committees to police content, keep the sexy out, and push agendas it is only a matter of time before the industry began adopting the same practices that have ruined their western counterparts.

What else could have been expected from a group of people who do nothing, but hold the average consumer in the utmost contempt? This is the same group of people that hid aid in Flint, Michigan and Puerto Rico and are now holding up the stimulus package until the Republicans allow them to use it to ram through the Green New Deal. No matter where they are they will always push their agendas, as that is the creature they are.
