Zweihander Devs Don't Want Anti-SJWs, Anti-Woke People To Buy Or Play Their Games

The RPG handbook, Zweihander, made some waves back in late 2019 when it was discovered it featured politically correct characters and stories, as well as “gender neutrality” when it came to pronouns and references, which led to some criticisms from gamers who weren’t keen on supporting mental illness, as outlined in a post on the Galaxy Slave Girls blog. Well, the developers of the RPG were embroiled with a slight online tussle with RPG fans who weren’t into the Liberal Progressive propaganda invading and ruining all of media, and so the developers responded by saying they didn’t want anti-SJWs, anti-woke people, or anti-LGBT people to play or buy their games.

It started with Twitter user Offensiveness MaXXXimVs arguing that if Social Justice Warriors want to make media with political correctness and cater their products toward mentally ill people, they can, but they shouldn’t co-op existing fandoms and media to distort them into degenerate vehicles for propaganda.

The thread was made on March 4th 2020 in response to more SJWs attacking gamer culture, and it ended with MaXXXimVs using Zweihander as an example.

Coz it’s a free market – want Politically Kowwekt luvy duvy woke gaming – they MAKE it.

Zweihander – where it’s “Grimdark” but not offensive or exploitative to anyone (at least based on gender/skin) or MonteCUCK games making a document to put gaming = S&M bondage movies. pic.twitter.com/Eao9G4lmGU

This led to a bunch of Social Justice Warriors on Twitter attacking MaXXXimVs for using common sense, and eventually the executive creative director for the Zweihander RPG handbook, Daniel D. Fox, chimed in to condemn MaXXXimVs, saying that they didn’t want people like him playing their game and that they would even refund the RPG.

Feel free to return this game to our office. I’ll personally refund you the price you paid via PayPal. Because we really don’t want people like you playing our games.

Sincerely,
The entire #TTRPG industry https://t.co/D0bluw8LOW

As is typical with virtue signaling tweets, Twitter proceeded to boost the tweet, allowing Fox to further virtue signal as a peon of the Principalities of Political Correctness.

Wow, this tweet really blew up!

I want to promote that we recognize/continue to signal boost marginalized creators in #ttrpg spaces. You are seen, you are heard, you are important and you belong here.

We are all in this together. ❤️

Not content with simply deriding an RPG fan on social media, there was another tweet that was pinned to the profile of Zweihander’s writer, Tanner Yea, on March 5th, 2020 to follow up on what Fox had mentioned earlier in the day.

If you’re racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-LGBTQ, anti-SJW, pro-fascist, anti-woke or someone who advocates for policies or procedures related to any of those things, do me a favor and never think about or play @ZweihanderRPG. It’s not for you, and you don’t deserve it

— Tanner Yea (@tanneryea) March 5, 2020

Yes this is gatekeeping. No I don’t care

— Tanner Yea (@tanneryea) March 5, 2020

It reminds me of when former EA executive Patrick Söderlund told gamers not to buy Battlefield V because they were “uneducated”.

But this doesn’t come out of the blue. Grim Jim from Postmortem Studios alluded to the Zweihander developers being woke back when some Social Justice Warriors tried to get the game Privilege Check deplatformed back in March of 2019.

Yep, either a grifter or led astray by the Zweihander dude. pic.twitter.com/pQIc2C9dvq

Well, it looks like the Zweihander developers are on the same woke wave length.

I’m sure they won’t have to worry about real role-playing fans – the ones who stand against the infiltration of their hobbies by Cultural Communists – paying a dime for their product.

(Thanks for the news tip Offensiveness MaXXXimVs)
