Brain’s Base and Studio Feel Feel’s My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax, based on the Oregairu manga of the same name, was supposed to start its third season on April 9th, but things did not go as planned and the anime’s third season ended up getting postponed due to the coronavirus.
Anime Intelligence & Research tweeted out a translation from the official Japanese tweet that announced that the show’s third season was being postponed.

The original tweet in Japanese doesn’t hold back in putting the blame on the coronavirus.
For a lot of anime this is due to a lot of outsourcing taking place in other Southeast Asian countries, as well as in China, and so if there’s any disruption from those outsourced outfits then it also affects the production schedule for the anime that air in Japan.
If future episodes are affected or those in the production pipeline are held up, then it affects when the start dates should take place for the season.
Right now the tweet is pinned on the official Oregairu Twitter account, but there hasn’t been any further updates after the announcement was made on April 7th, 2020.
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax joins a host of other anime that have been postponed as well due to the coronavirus, including but not limited to the Violet Evergarden movie from the recently troubled Kyoto Animation, along with No Guns Life, Detective Conan and Princess Principal: Crown Handler to name but a few.
You’ll have to keep an eye on the sparsely-updated Oregairu Twitter account to find out when the new release date will be for the third season of the anime. In the meantime they will be re-airing season 2 starting April 9th.
