Viva Games’ Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher originally came out for the PlayStation 4 back in April of 2019. The game slipped under the radar of most gamers due to the indie title not having much of a marketing budget, and the Chinese developers having to rely on word-of-mouth to spread the game. Well, the game has now released on Steam for PC and it’s currently available for only $16.99.
The game is about a special forces soldier investigating the mystery surrounding his mother’s disappearance as well as an island that hosts dragons in China known as the Yingzhou Isle.
The soldier is voiced by The Witcher’s Doug Dockle, and he’s accompanied on his journey by various hot chicks, including a female soldier wearing short-shorts, and an obnoxious streamer who is running around in pumps and a mini-skirt where you’re constantly being teased with upskirt shots. It’s hot.

The gameplay looks Janky as heck, and it reminds me of Far Cry: Instincts on the OG Xbox, with stilted gunplay and stiff AI movement.
The voice acting isn’t all that great and the story seems kind of stupid, but it reminds me of a poor Chinese man’s version of Metal Gear and Far Cry, and they tossed in some sexy waifu-bait to help bolster the appeal. No complaints about the fan-service here. Sex sells. And with a game as janky as Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher, it will help a lot with compensating for the less than stellar gameplay.
The game sees you battling against renegade soldiers, cybernetic witches, and zombies, to name a few.
The Steam version of the game is actually the non-VR iteration of the title, which probably explains why it plays kind of janky.
The user reviews are currently mixed, so exercise caution if you plan on picking up a copy.
It might be best to wait until they stabilize the game for non-VR use, and then grab Immortal Legacy during the next sale.
