If you don’t know, IGN will go up with its own summer games event to replace the now-canceled E3 2020 next month. This event is dubbed The Summer Of Gaming, and one of the many games that will appear during the show is Microïds’ XIII remake.
Back in the late part of this year’s February, Microïds teased gamers and fans alike by saying an update on the remake of XIII is inbound. And our speculation of the company showing gameplay footage is not only spot-on but will be proven correct on June 8th, 2020:
The first gameplay reveal of the FPS #XIII will air during the #IGNSummerOfGaming on June 8th!

To clarify the situation, the actual Summer Gaming Fest will kick-off on June 5th and will end weeks later on June 24th. However, during that time frame, XIII’s gameplay trailer will arrive three days later after the start of the digital event on June 8th, 2020.
Aside from the upcoming summer event, Microïds will bring its portfolio of games over to PC and home consoles. Of course, this means XIII and other titles under the publisher would likely end up on current and next-gen systems moving forward.
In addition to the above, it looks like Microïds isn’t in the business to move games like XIII, Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath, and other titles to Tim Sweeney’s store as a timed exclusive:
Hi, sorry it’s not planned yet.

Finally, the remake of XIII will hit PC via Steam and GOG, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Sadly, at this point and time, it’s unclear when the game will launch right now due to the pandemic. However, you can learn more by paying microids.com a visit.
