HBO Max, one of the companies on the Traitors of America Master List, is airing a reboot of Warner Bros., classic characters for a new generation of audiences called the Looney Toons Cartoons. However, despite the slapstick violence still being present, what’s not present and won’t be present are guns.
The Hill picked up the news from a report on The New York Times where the series’ executive producer, Peter Browngardt, explained…
“We’re not doing guns.
“But we can do cartoony violence — TNT, the Acme stuff. All that was kind of grandfathered in,”
So what did they change the guns to? Anything but a projectile-firing weapon.

One of the animators who worked on the show, Johnny Ryan, tried to talk around the topic explaining…
“We’re going through this wave of anti-bullying, everybody needs to be friends, everybody needs to get along. Looney Tunes’ is pretty much the antithesis of that. It’s two characters in conflict, sometimes getting pretty violent.”
Yet guns are being banned from appearing in the show, effectively censored out of the broadcast altogether.
This kind of anti-gun stance is certainly against the nature of some of the Looney Tunes characters, yet in our ever-increasing politically correct society, don’t be surprised if we see more and more forms of media ousting guns in some banal attempt to convince people that guns are bad.
Other shows are censoring other kinds of content, though. For instance Netflix has scaled back on depictions of smoking, and has said that they will reduce the amount of smoking in their live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop, while also “toning down” Faye’s outfit so she’s going to appear far less sexy than she did in the anime.
Gears 5 also removed any depictions of smoking, and the gore was decidedly less overt compared to Gears of War 2 and 3. There’s an insidious movement at work to ebb away any kind of material or media that usually typically favors masculinity or masculine-themed activities. Guns, smoking, hot chicks, and tough guys are now all becoming much more rare than before, but every time you bring up an example or showcase this downward trend controlled by a select few members of our society, you’ll have Centrists™ barking down your neck claiming that you’re just a “conspiracy theorist”.
