Eden’s Ritter: Paladins Of Ecstasy, Adults Only Visual Novel Launches on Steam

Surprisingly, Valve allowed Waffle’s Adults Only dark fantasy visual novel onto Steam. Eden’s Ritter: Paladins of Ecstasy is currently available on the Steam store for $29.99. During the first week of release you can grab the game for 15% off the normal price for only $25.49.

The visual novel follows princess Cecily as she battles various lecherous monsters and villains, all while being subjected to the perverse machinations of evil fiends and lustful demons.

This unbridled nukige being made available on Steam is quite shocking news given Valve’s penchant for unceremoniously banning most hetero-themed R18+ visual novels. Apparently publishers HOBIBOX and ShiraVN managed to get the game reviewed by a kind heart at Valve and get a green light to release.

However, there is a downside to Eden’s Ritter: Paladins of Ecstasy: the game contains mosaic censorship.

Why? Well, Waffle is terrified of the Japanese authorities. He feels that violating the law by not censoring the genitals could land him in jail.

Eden's Ritter - Thong

Gamers originally asked about an uncensored patch for Waffle’s highly popular Manor of Mystic Courtesans, but links to a Patreon post shared on the Steam forums revealed Waffle’s reasoning for not providing a decensor patch or any way to remove the mosaiscs, where he explained…

“About Censorships

“In Japan, person may be arrested for making uncensored adult contents even if they use foreign servers.

“So, all in my HENTAI art contains the censorship in genital.

“It is the same about Layered PSD,censorships are enbedded on some layer, to avoid my arrest in Japan.”

Why he couldn’t just seed out an uncensored patch to a random anon who could then share it elsewhere on the net, I do not know. However, Waffle is intent on playing to his creative strengths through the weakness of censorship imposed upon him by Japanese law.
