The official release date for the Western release of Shade Inc., and Marvelous Entertainment’s Kandagawa Jet Girls has been set in stone. The game received an announcement earlier this year revealing a summer release window for the West for both the PS4 and PC, and now we have an exact window as to when the game will be launching.
The game arrived alongside a fan-service filled anime that contained plenty of jiggly boobs, bouncing butts, hot girls, and lots of wholesome watersports.
Kandagawa Jet Girls centers around two distinct gameplay mechanics: the first of which is the jet-bike racing, where you’ll need to navigate through the water-filled canals of specially made tracks littered throughout Tokyo. The second part of the game is themed around using high-powered water weapons to waylay or obstruct your opponents from passing you up, or using the weapons to slow them down enough to take the lead.
You can get an idea of how the game is played with the trailer below.
You’ll have several pairs of all-female teams to choose from, including some guest stars from Marvelous’ now gimped-ecchi series, Senran Kagura.
The game features Ryōna and Ryōbi as bonus characters you can play as a lovely team of buxom beauties, but they already announced that additional premium DLC will be available for the other girls from Senran Kagura.
Beyond the racing, the combat and the character selection, there’s also the ability to customize the outfits of the girls, as well as upgrade the jet bikes.
There have been some complaints from those who played the original Japanese outing, noting that the features are kind of bare bones and the mechanics aren’t as intuitive as they could have been.
I was hoping for a mixture of Jet Moto meets Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, but it sounds like it’s not quite up to par to being as good as one or the other.
Anyway, hopefully modders can upgrade the PC experience and bring it up to par to what it should be, and maybe it’ll give Shade enough inspiration to do something bigger and better (and bouncier) for a potential sequel.
