Grand Theft Auto VI will incorporate aggressive dynamic weather systems that directly alter vehicle handling and inflict physical structural damage on aircraft. Ground vehicles will lose traction and slide across rain-slicked pavement, while violent squalls and tropical storms can violently batter and disable aerial vehicles mid-flight.
The emerging production details also highlight the staggering scale of the Vice City playground, with studio insiders claiming the map easily eclipses the combined footprints of Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto V, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar art director Aaron Garbut reportedly remarked that even after a decade of continuous development, developers still discover unfamiliar corners scattered throughout the massive landmass.
If Rockstar executes these simulated storm hazards alongside such expansive world design, traversing Leonida during torrential hurricanes should offer a noticeably more grueling driving experience than previous series entries. Grand Theft Auto VI remains scheduled to arrive in late 2025 across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
